Welcome to the Lexington Shaggers Website
In the midst of the Barbeque Capital of the World, you’ll find a shag club called “Lexington Shaggers”, and our new logo expresses their pride in that title. This is a new and enthusiastic shag club, only in existence for a year, that already has over 80 members. The club meets on the second Saturday of each month at the City Club, 5 City Club Circle in Lexington. A $5.00 cover charge for any shag club member and $7.00 for non members gets you into the party. On a usual Lexington Shaggers dance night, you can expect around 60-75 attendees dancing in the upstairs room. The dance room has a 25’ x 28’ wood dance floor, surrounded by seating for around 45 at small tables. An adjoining room holds more tables for seating and also tables for the appetizers that our shag club members provide. A cash bar is available with special shag night prices. This facility is non-smoking. The shaggers dance from 8:00pm until midnight with different shag DJ’s playing the music for each party. Our shaggers don’t wait around, they start dancing on the first tune. Also included in the evening festivities is a 50/50 raffle. You’ll also find many members from neighboring shag clubs enjoying the fun.
